Company
The company you contract with.
FUROTECH builds agricultural systems of record for African value chains. FuroField serves crop production and its chain; FuroTrack serves livestock. They are separate products for separate customers, sitting on a shared platform at the same level — neither is a guest of the other, and the next one will not be a guest of these.

One platform, products as peers
FuroField serves crop production and its chain; FuroTrack serves livestock. Neither is built inside the other, and the next one will not be a guest of these.
Built for where it runs
Connectivity is intermittent, devices are shared, and the person capturing the record is often standing in a field at five in the morning. A system that assumes otherwise produces a beautiful dataset describing an imaginary season.
The record belongs to the producer
Every other party reads it by permission — granted, scoped, revocable, and visible afterwards. That is a constraint on what we can sell, and it is the reason the record is worth relying on.
01 — The thesis
Why the record is the product.
Almost everything an agricultural business is asked to prove — that a block was safe to harvest, that a consignment came from where it says, that an advance was netted correctly, that a programme reached the growers it was funded for — is a question about records that already exist somewhere. They exist in notebooks, in message threads, in one person’s memory, and in a spreadsheet that has been edited since.
The work is not to generate new information. It is to capture what is already happening in a form that survives the season, the staff change and the audit — and then to let the right parties read the parts they are entitled to, without anyone having to phone the others.
So capture works offline and reconciles later; the interfaces are built for one hand and bright sunlight; and where two people recorded conflicting things, somebody is told rather than one silently overwriting the other.
02 — The boundary
What we are not.
We are not an auditor, a certifier, a lender or a broker. We do not take margin, commission or rebate from any technology or input supplier. Those constraints are published on how we handle evidence so that a counterparty can hold us to them rather than take our word for it.
